HAPPY BIRTHDAY CADEN!!! Look how happy he is to be awake on his birthday. 
So he actually wasn't a very big fan of the whole 'make a mess of your first cake' thing. 
This is post clean up. I forgot to bring extra clothes for him. He was much happier once he was cleaned up and naked.
Brent was a "willing" model for Caden's new cowboy hat.

Happy Birthday! Can't believe it was a whole year ago...at the same time, I can't believe it's been so long since we've seen you guys (well, it hasn't been quite a year yet). Hopefully you're house won't ever sell and you'll have to come back to it...
Man, it seems like just yesterday that you had him! He's getting so grown up and what a cute little boy. Hopefully Brent will share that cool hat with him- it is an awesome hat. And I heard that your house finally sold! Yay! (Although I was secretly hoping it wouldn't sell either like Terri so you'd have to come back) hehe
